Check-In Guide
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM. Follow the steps below to get settled in.
Gate Access
Enter your gate code on the keypad to open the entrance gate. You will receive this code prior to check-in.
House Access
The keypad entry is located next to the pool equipment behind the garage. Enter your house code to unlock the back door. You will receive this code prior to check-in.
If the keypad isn't working, there is a spare key above the front left porch light.
Barn Access
The barn key is located next to the garage door opener inside the garage. Please return it to the same spot when not in use.

Note: Google Maps is about 200 yards off from our actual location. When driving up County Road 2012, look carefully the sign is small and easy to miss as there is no traffic light.

You are welcome to park on the driveway or in the garage. Please do not park or drive vehicles outside of those areas.
Driving at Night
County roads are dark in the evening. Please drive at an appropriate speed it is not uncommon to see a herd of deer crossing the road.
Pool & Spa Use
Hot Tub / Spa
Spa heating is available for $100 per trip. If you'd like to use it during your stay, please text your host so it can be turned on remotely.
Pool Maintenance
The pool is cleaned twice weekly, but given the number of trees and breeze on property, it is not unusual to find leaves in the pool and spa. This is totally normal.
Trash Important, Please Read
Bagging Rules
All trash must be double bagged before placing in the trash cans. We have wildlife that loves nothing more than a free snack.
Do not overfill the trash cans.
Trash Day: Tuesday Morning
If your checkout is on a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, please take the trash cans outside the gate before your departure.
If a trash can is less than half full, you do not need to take it out.
Summer Weather Tips
Keeping the House Cool
- Start the HVAC as early as possible in the morning
- Keep all doors and windows closed
- Make use of the ceiling fans throughout the house
- The upstairs rooms each contain a standing A/C unit for extra hot days
Standing A/C Units
To operate in A/C mode, simply add water to the unit. There is an extra unit in the garage if needed.
Note: A/C units are designed to keep indoor temperatures 2022°F cooler than outside. Temperatures can reach 104°F we strongly recommend starting the standing units in the morning on those days.
Pickleball / Basketball Court & BBQ
Sports Court
- If you take the net down, put it back up every night animals will damage it if left down
- Pickleball paddles and balls are in the barn do not leave them outside as they get damaged
- The court light is directly behind the barn, next to the HVAC equipment
BBQ Grill Care
Please clean the grill after each use. This keeps it in great shape for future guests and is much appreciated.
Accidents & Contact
Damages & Accidents
Accidents happen please notify us if something is damaged while on site. We want to make sure the next guest has everything they need. Spending on unnecessary damages reduces the amount we can give to the Wounded Warrior Project each year.
Missing Equipment
If you find that items are missing (pickleballs, rackets, basketball, ping pong balls, etc.), please let us know. We try to keep more than needed on site.

No Smoking
Please do not smoke inside the house or barn. A fine applies if violated.
No Hunting or Fishing
We have endangered species on the property and are required to maintain their ecosystem.
No Pets
We love animals, however pets are not allowed due to family allergies. A $500 fine applies.
Quiet Time After 10 PM
Please respect our neighbors by keeping noise levels down after 10:00 PM.
Pool & Spa Use
Spa heating is $100 per trip. Please contact the host for instructions before using the hot tub heater.

A few helpful tips to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
Temperature
We have central air and heat. Feel free to adjust the temperature for comfort. Please set it back to 70-76°F when you are not in the house.

We have both Direct TV and Netflix. Feel free to use your existing Netflix password to view your custom programming.

The washer and dryer work just like any other. You will find unscented dye-free detergent in the cabinet above the washing machine.

Please move full trash bags to the bins and close the lid. If you are staying over a weekend, take the cans outside the gate before you leave.

Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Please take a few minutes to complete the following before you go.
Sheets & Beds
There is no need to remove the sheets from the beds. Simply leave them unmade so our team knows the room was used.
Towels
Please gather all used towels and take them to the laundry room. No need to run the wash just drop them off.
Dishes & Kitchen
Please make sure any pots, pans, and dishes are cleaned before departure. Any extra dishes and silverware can simply be run and left in the dishwasher for our team.
Barn Key
Please return the barn key to the hook next to the garage door opener.
Sports Court Net
Make sure the pickleball/basketball net is returned to the up position so it is not damaged by animals overnight.
Windows, Lights & A/C
Shut all windows, turn off all lights. Set the thermostat to 78°F for upstairs, downstairs, and the barn.
Trash
All trash must be double bagged before going in the cans. Do not overfill. Trash day is Tuesday morning.
